Bejeweled Champions is a tile match-3 gambling game made by PopCap. It serves as a replacement to the original WorldWinner version of Bejeweled 2 and was released on September 9, 2020 for web browsers and the WorldWinner app.[1] Bejeweled Champions involves scoring more points than the opponent player in three minutes, either for real money or for fun.

Unlike the original Bejeweled 2, which runs on the now-outdated Adobe Flash Player, Bejeweled Champions runs on HTML5. Bejeweled Champions is hosted on WorldWinner and Swagbucks.

Overview

Game in progress

Bejeweled Champions, like the other games presented on WorldWinner and Swagbucks is a gambling game where players can give in real money to win more money, or can be played without money for free, as a method of practice or for fun. The game can be played up to a maximum of four players, but up to two players in the practice mode.

The game features entirely original visuals, but reuses music and sound effects from Bejeweled 2 and uses a few original sound effects and one original song.

Gameplay

Bejeweled WorldWinner plays in the style of a timed version of Classic Mode. The player has 3 minutes to score as many points as possible. While the original WorldWinner Bejeweled 2 featured the Bejeweled 2 game style, Bejeweled Champions version features an updated game style based on Bejeweled 3, letting the user swap gems while others are falling and allowing the player to perform the Annihilator. Matching gems scores points and fills up the level bar. Filling up the level bar completely progresses the player to the next level, where the player receives more points. The Hint button helps the player find matches, but will subtract points when it is used, and will decrease the level bar as well. The game board scrambles when the player progresses between levels or no moves are possible, allowing easier matches. The game's level count will top out after Level 6 - the level bar remains filled for the rest of the game.

The game ends when the time limit reaches 0:00, to which all the gems are thrown off the board with no special gems triggering. Final scores are displayed on the stats screen. The player that ends their game with the highest score wins the game.

Pausing the game is possible, but limited to a maximum of 3 minutes, due to the competitive nature of the game.

Trivia

  • The Voice uses lines that have been mixed from Bejeweled 2 and Bejeweled 3.
