Centerpiece

Tic-Toc is a limited edition type of Rare Gem in Bejeweled Blitz. It is a sliver scarab with an hourglass-shaped pattern on its elytra.

When the game begins, a random basic gem with a scarab on it appears on the game board. This gem functions the same way as a Flame Gem does except it also adds two extra seconds to the Timer Bar. A total of twenty gems with scarabs on them appear throughout the game, meaning that the player can get up to 40 additional seconds in the current game by using this gem.

After the Last Hurrah, a coin bonus occurs in which a large golden scarab appears. Clicking on it reveals and rewards a random number of coins, which ranges from 500 to 500,000. The number of bonus seconds earned during the game is also displayed.

Trivia

• The name of this Rare Gem is derived from "tick tock", an onomatopoeia for the sound of a clock.
• Tic-Toc had more expensive prices; its Harvest Price was 80,000 coins, its Streak Price was 75,000 coins, and its Lowest Streak Price was 65,000 coins.
• The original number of basic gems with scarabs on them was thirty, but this number was reduced before Tic-Toc was officially released.
