Centerpiece

Ice Burrrst is a limited Rare Gem in Bejeweled Blitz. It is a white gemstone that looks like a snowflake. This Rare Gem was created as a way to celebrate Christmas.

When the player begins a game with Ice Burrrst activated, a random number of unique white gems that resemble snowflakes will drop along with the other gems into the board. Upon clearing a snowflake from the grid, it will explode, destroying itself plus the four surrounding gems in both diagonal directions. The base value for clearing a snowflake is 750 points. While Ice Burrrst is active, Flame Gems created using white gems will become snowflakes instead, and snowflakes will replace random white gems throughout the game except during the Last Hurrah.

After the Last Hurrah (or Encore if the player accepted Feathered Fury's offer), a flurry of snowflakes—along with a spinning, larger snowflake—will appear for a few seconds.

Trivia

• The "Burrrst" part of this Rare Gem's name is a pun on brr, an interjection used to express sensations of cold, and burst.
