Last Hurrah

The Last Hurrah, often abbreviated LH, is a feature first introduced in the final release of Bejeweled Blitz and later included in the Lightning mode of Bejeweled 3. It is a sort of "finishing event" bonus occurring to the end of the game, detonating any unused Special Gems and Boosts.
In Bejeweled Blitz, this includes the detonation of Multiplier Gems, Rare Gems and collecting any coins. It adds points to the score, but any detonated Multiplier Gems will not add to the Multiplier total. After it is over, the Multiplier total is turned into coins and the game ends (unless there are matched gems).
In Lightning mode, unmatched Time Gems are also collected. It will add no further time to the Time Extension Tank.

Trivia
- When Hypercubes are detonated, it'll clear gems of any color randomly, not just the gems adjacent to the Hypercube.
- The Last Hurrah also can be triggered when there are no more swaps (rarely happens). This is common point of both games.
- Back in the early days of Bejeweled Blitz PC, Last Hurrahs allowed for cascades to be scored, but has alas been replaced with only base mults per cascade. Bejeweled 3 will allow for one such instance if you start out as a newer however.
