Detonator, formally known as Detonate but still referred to as such in the README file, is a Boost in Bejeweled Blitz.
When purchased, this Boost creates a special button that occupies the bottom left square of the game board at the beginning of a game. Selecting the button clears all Special Gems, Multiplier Gems, and coins of all Coin Gems from the board. The Detonate button can be used only once per game and is then removed from the board.
If the Detonate button is on the game board when a game ends, it disappears and rewards a base value of 1,500 points during the Last Hurrah.
Like all Boosts, Detonator's effect lasts for three consecutive games before expiring.

Notes
- It is possible to move the Detonate button by selecting a gem and then swapping it with the button.
Trivia
- In the PC version of Bejeweled Blitz, the Detonate button emits sparkles and emanates starbursts from its center. In other versions of the game, the button is static.
- Unused graphics present in the game files of Bejeweled 3 suggest that the game originally featured a Detonate button of some kind.
