History with Bejeweled
I've been a prime-time Bejeweled maniac for more than a decade already, having Bejeweled be one of my first video games ever.
My first exposure to Bejeweled was around 2007, with it's inclusion in several airline displays and mobile phones, I quickly became glued to the series and have bought or downloaded Bejeweled titles more than 50+ times across several platforms. Most notably, my first Bejeweled game was Bejeweled 2 (which was also one of my first video games ever alongside Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 in the same timeframe), which appeared on United States to Brazilian flights on the TAM Airlines planes. The series helped me gain my respect for video games as a medium and made me enjoy being a fanboy of franchises.
Favorite aspects
I love practically almost the whole franchise. Well, to be more specific, I love the majority of Bejeweled content that came out prior to the EA restructuring of PopCap Games. My favorite Bejeweled entries are Bejeweled, Bejeweled 2, Bejeweled 3, Bejeweled Twist and Bejeweled Blitz (prior to the Bigger, Better Boosts update)
On the Wiki
Editing since March 2021, I'm one of the Administrators of this wiki, and I do big edits here, such as cleaning up information, turning one-lined articles to pages with massive descriptions, setting standards for future pages, making articles sound more encyclopedic, gathering promotional material used throughout Bejeweled's 2-decade history and doing content patrol duties. I'm responsible for adding several galleries to pages, adding general overviews to all the official Bejeweled game pages and creating Bejeweled series character pages.
Due to my busy schedule and shifted focus towards content creation, I'm no longer as active here but I tend to provide edits and movements periodically.
I am also one of the original creators of the current Bejeweled Wiki logo used since April 18, 2021. This was possible between a collab of me (I gave out the initial idea and base layouts) and B1Gaming on the Bejeweled Fans Discord server (he did the shading and polishing!!).
I also created the embed logo that appears in embed links! This first refresh of the embed logo was conceptualized by Lightningreed from the Bejeweled Fans Discord server, with me and B1Gaming providing draft layouts. This embed logo has been in use since July 7, 2021, which replaced the original embed logo that was in use since the wiki's inception from July 31, 2008 to July 7, 2021, which was originally created by ZombiePhil (the original wiki creator who mysteriously disappeared in 2011).
I am currently helping my fellow admins transition this wiki to a newer platform since November 2023, which will have more details at a future date.
